When we are going to a foreign country on holidays, we think about how much it will cost to eat, transportation or touristic visits. It all depends, of course, on how we intend to live, spend our time, in the chosen country. If you rent an apartment and buy the grocery in a supermarket, you will save a lot in food!
In order to give you an idea of how much it might cost your holidays in Porto, per day, i’ll give you below, some examples of prices to pay for different items.

- Pregoem prato ( grilled beef with french fries and fried egg): 6,5€
An express coffee: 0,65€
Pizza plus light drink: 6,5€
A beer in one of the esplanades of the famous ribeira, overlooking the douro river: 2,5€
To rent a bycicle – 2 hours: 4€; all day long: 9€
From Sá Carneiro Airport to Porto City center, by surface subway: 1,85€
Sightseeing by bus , including visits to the port wine cellars, with a taste of a variety of all the top wines: 13€ (the ticket is valid for 2 days)
A trip in a small train around the city, with a visit to the sea life: for adults, it costs 15€, for children: 10€
A trip by boat along the douro river, during 50 minutes ( 6 bridges): 10€ p/person. children: 5€ the price per children, depends a lot on the company involved. It might be that some do not charge till they are 4 and with others, till they are 10 years old.
Discoveries museum: adults: 14€ and children 8€ (it’s free till they are 3) if you buy the ticket online, it will be rather cheaper.
Serralves Museum including park: 8,5€
PortoCard: since 8€ – 1 day and 21,50€ – 3 days with transportation. This card includes free entrances and discounts in more than a 100 attractive places in the city of oporto
